The Hon. Minister of Trade and Industry, Kobina Tahir Hammond (MP), on Thursday 15th February 2024, commissioned an ultra modern Business Resource Centre in Akropong in the Akuapim North Municipality of the Eastern Region. The BRCs were established by the Rural Enterprises Programme (REP) and was funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
Mr. K.T. Hammond noted that the BRCs are expected to contribute to the sustainability and competitiveness of 1D1F projects and other MSMEs by offering a full range of business development services, investment facilitation, export promotion and information services to potential and existing entrepreneurs and businesses at the district level. The BRCs operate under the Ghana Enterprises Agency.
Present at the ceremony were Mr. Kwasi Attah-Antwi (National Director of REP), Mrs. Kosi Yankey-Aryeh (CEO of GEA), Mr. Sammy Awuku (Director General of the National Lottteries Authority) and Hon. Barima Asiedu-Larbi (MCE for Akuapim North).
